I am also a member of the Paso Robles Downtown Design Committee. I sell my work in the form of Gicleé computer generated prints signed and numbered or artist proofs. Also selling original art work as I make it. At the present we are painting using a new medium to me which is acrylics. I have been known to paint only with watercolor and gouache on archive paper. New works and new subject matter is African American history, in honor of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King and in recognition of February as Black History Month. Also in memory of my Uncle Marvin who is the best Uncle a girl could ever have, I want to dedicate my next painting to him They Once Marched. You will be greatly missed I have been an artist from the earliest of my part of my life. From my youth and growing up in LA on the West Side, I lived in walking distance from Exposition Park, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Science, and the Rose Garden, this was my playground. I was also blessed with hard working parents who believed in education and my mother who had once lived in Paris surrounded me with books on art and took me to various art shows that would travel to the museums. As a child the paintings and brush stokes of Vincent Van Gogh were burned in my mind, when I was able to view his magnificent paintings. Witnessing the gold splendor of the many treasures of the Tomb of King Tut. These come to mind but their were many opportunities to experience art and culture as a child growing up in Los Angeles, California. Later in life I moved to the Central Coast of California, in San Luis Obispo County, where I raised six children including twin girls as a divorced single mom, the youngest is 18 and the oldest is 31. Im the proud grandmother of six also. So they are now grown and I can concentrate on my painting. Here on the Central Coast I am inspired to paint landscapes seascapes and wildlife. Especially birds which migrate and live here in this area which is a bird sanctuary and are protected in Morro Bay. Being surrounded by the beautiful seascapes and landscapes of California, this artist which has mostly painted with watercolors and landscapes, invites you to return here soon So you can see the new works which are in progress and will be viewable as soon as finished.
