Anne Strasberg is a traditional folk artist in the true sense of worker artists. She has earned her living for many years as an interior decorator, designing and painting murals in a childrens hospital in Paris, her birthplace, and in restaurants, as well as decorating peoples homes, painting furniture, etc. She is an itinerant painter living and working throughout Europe and the United States where she is now a permanent resident. She began painting in 1980 when she met Suzette Feuillebois Deze, a woman painterdesignerarchitect, whose love and encouragement helped Anne in the development of her own personal, selftaught style. Her paintings have been exposed privately and in galleries in France, Spain, and in the United States. She is married to the renowned American theater directorwriteractor teacher John Strasberg, and is the mother of two grown children. Ever since her adolescence, she dreamed of entering the Beaux Arts in Paris but the objections of her family made her set aside her dream. Traveling with her husband, John Strasberg has enlarged the sources of inspiration that are the subject of Annes paintings, which represent her real and imaginary voyage through life.
